welcome. Welcome back to The Uncommon Way. It is so great to talk to you again. Today, we're breaking down the science of what's known as a quantum leap in business. When [00:01:00] your business suddenly takes off and you reach a new levels of success and abundance so that you understand it in a different way and you can reliably reproduce it like a science experiment.

But if you are someone who really loves the woo and you kind of feel your skin prickling when I talk about the science, don't worry, you will be at home here too. This episode is for everybody at any and all stages of business growth. [00:02:00] I know the States has experienced some catastrophic weather, and I hope that you and your loved ones are safe.

I really only heard about it through my clients. It is eerie being here on the other side of the world, and especially because we've been having the best weather yet. The skies are ridiculously clear. The temperature is perfect. Seriously, if you want to visit Majorca, the end of September, early October is your time.

And so I've been going on lots of hikes and hanging out with friends and you'll start seeing that beautiful footage in the next few weeks if you follow me on Instagram. And overall just feeling very, very abundant, which led me to consider creating this episode for you. I have not covered this topic before on the podcast.

First, I only did it in a retreat. And then recently, I've seen how much a couple of my private clients have needed it. [00:03:00] So now I'm making it more accessible for you to take advantage of as well, because I want you to have everything that can help you. Now, since there are some new concepts here, you might want to listen to it a couple of times.

I encourage you to really take your time with it because these concepts and this way of thinking can radically change your business. There's a lot of talk in the Woo space about quantum leaps. It's like kind of thrown around like candy, like, Oh, quantum leap your business, do this, do that. We don't necessarily always get the full picture of what that really means or how to do it.

The term quantum leap comes from quantum jump, which is a scientific term meaning when something like an electron or a molecule abruptly moves from one energy state to another. And maybe you have felt this yourself in business, right? In business, it feels like [00:04:00] opportunities rushing in. It feels like you can't lose, like clients can't say no and money just keeps flowing in.

And then you reach a new baseline and then there's a little bit of growth. And then you reach a new baseline. Or maybe you've witnessed this from the outside with other people and you're thinking, how did that person do it? How'd they blow up so quickly? All of a sudden they're everywhere. I'm seeing them everywhere.

Or how did they earn that much revenue so quickly? So suddenly I remember them when they were, you know, just like somebody in a cohort with me. And now all of a sudden they're. And so I think because of all of this, we really think of quantum leaps as something magical and unmanageable. You know, it's just a burst of luck or it's when the stars align and sometimes they are right.

For instance, if you get fired or [00:05:00] something and you are all of a sudden in a completely different state or re examining everything. Sometimes they're really unexpected and it's like the saying goes, God just gave you a promotion. And of course there is magic and mystery in the universe. I am not negating that at all.

It's beautiful and amazing, but there's also something else, especially when it comes to these quantum leaps in business. I am going to argue that there's actually structure to it. There is science and you can reproduce results. This is actually a lot of what we do here at The Uncommon Way, straddling both the science and the woo.

We make the woo empirical. We gather data and evidence for the woo. I had a client once who was saying that to me. She's like, it seems like really what you're doing is you're taking all of these things that seem woo, right? That we don't understand yet, that we haven't cracked the code for yet. [00:06:00] And you're really creating kind of the science behind it or the data behind it.

But I now want to help you crack the code and see that these kind of leaps are reproducible like a scientific experiment. Hey. I can't wait to be your coach. Like think about how this shows up in history. There's this common conception of change in https: [00:07:00] otter. ai But it is not. It is always in little bursts, in these little quantum leaps. Like before the civil rights movement took off, which from the outside looks like this explosion, this burst, there were actually many pieces coming together to create the conditions for that propulsion of social change.

We think of these things as just kind of happening, but they are almost always tipping points. There is a science of accumulation, uh, coming together of all these necessary foundational conditions before that leap can take place, and it makes the leap inevitable. Like, if you apply heat to water, it turns into vapor.

And long before oxygen was available to nourish life, there were particles hurtling through space and there was galaxy formation and atmosphere [00:08:00] formation. And then finally, Oh my God, there's life. But no, it wasn't just like that. And so I believe in business as well. There's no overnight success in the sense that it just kind of happened upon you.

It's actually an accumulation of many things, often before you even started business. And so while it might seem overnight, it's not really overnight. Something went into creating that. And so what I am always scanning for with my clients is what are the pieces that are that still need to click into place so that these conditions make a quantum leap inevitable.

And after years of doing this with different types of women, I've seen these pieces again and again. And so therefore it's really easy for me to see when there's still a gap. So for instance, someone will come to me and they'll have created some copy that they're going to write. And the copy itself, like if you were going to look at [00:09:00] it from a copywriting perspective is amazing, right?

It's so scintillating and they've Obviously built the skill of writing copy. And it really pulls you in and like on all it just checks all the boxes, except what I can read when I'm in there is like the energy behind the copy is maybe there's a lack of belief, or maybe there's a self sabotaging thought that's still playing out.

And you know your days of scrimping are over, or you know you're done with having to scrimp by, or something, but I know that they're actually wanting to call in a different type of client that is paying, for instance, more premium prices. I'll know that they aren't truly talking to that new client yet.

There's something still that is drawing them to an older type of client. And then it's time to go to work on either the belief, the breaking, the habits, the understanding that new type of client, and then I'm able [00:10:00] to. Zero in on it and be like that, this is your next step. And so now I want to share some of those, those different components, those different things that I see with you so that you can keep it on hand for yourself and reference them and evaluate them.

But first, I just need to clear up this potential misconception that might be forming. Because I was realizing I just talked about galaxy formation, so you might be thinking that this all takes a long time. But time is actually not a necessary constant here. So maybe you need mindset work to create your quantum leap.

And that could be one really deep coaching session that leaves you forever changed. So, although the thing needs to click into place, it doesn't have to take a long time. It doesn't have to be, I worked on this for one year. You know, if you ever hear someone saying, if you ever hear me saying, it took me years to release the [00:11:00] belief that harder was better than ease or something like that, that doesn't mean it'll take you the same amount of time.

In fact, I hope that my clients will never take as long as I did. So, okay, we nipped that in the bud, these creating the conditions for quantum leap. It's not about time, but it is about thoroughness. So let's continue. I'm going to list out some things that you will typically need to come together in order to create these leaps.

You might want to grab a pen and paper or your notes file on your phone. And if you want more on any of these topics, I have a podcast episode for you for sure. What are we now? We're at 117. Yeah, I have something for you. So check the show notes. We'll link to a few of them. All right. In order to get where you're going on the other side of this quantum leap or the crest of this quantum leap, you probably have acquired certain skills in your business that you do not currently have.

Right? All of these [00:12:00] things I'm about to mention are going on the premise that if you had all of these things, if you were your future self, you would be creating those results. You aren't creating those results, therefore there's a gap, right? And that's what we're looking to identify here. So there are some skills that you have not yet built yet.

And by focusing on building those skills, right? You're creating those right conditions. So what are those skills? What about practiced thoughts? What are the thoughts that you are more practiced at thinking in that future state that you really aren't now? What are some of the beliefs that have to come together?

What about habits that you've built? What about capacity that you have? Like you're capable of producing whatever, a podcast a week or having this many clients, right? Before, you know, often I'll hear a client say, I just really want to be booked out or I want to have a full group. And I [00:13:00] just always need to make sure first, do they have the capacity, the mental capacity, the time capacity, everything to actually hold that.

What about tolerances? As you're wanting to bring in that many yeses, can you tolerate that many no's that you'll have to receive as well in order to create that many yeses? Can you tolerate the visibility? Can you tolerate the success? What new levels of clarity will you need? Clarity drives your business on all levels.

Your clients know what you're about. You're creating offers just for them. You're speaking just to them. It's supercharging your manifestation always because otherwise you're calling in chaotic results rather than laser focusing on what you desire. So are there new levels of clarity? What about your ability to make decisions and the quality of the decisions made?

What circumstances are established? That could be something like [00:14:00] audience size, or the website is done, or you have assets and collateral in place. And what is your thermostat set point? Like, what are you So, what is your willingness to receive? Quantum Leaps are always about first laying the groundwork and then opening to actually receiving it, because that is a new level for our nervous system that feels different and scary, right?

So, we need to create the conditions in our bodies, right, and in our, emotional state and in our energy to receive this thing that we're asking for? And is there really alignment here? Are you becoming like, I've used the, the dating hands analogy, where you're dating someone and on, with one hand, you're beckoning them closer, closer, but with the other hand, it's like, don't come too close.

As you think through these things, I encourage you to think about both small levers and [00:15:00] large levers that will, of course, create massive leverage, massive change in your business. So I learned this vocabulary of small levers and large levers from Elizabeth Salazar. So I want to credit her here because it has been so game changing for me.

So what does it actually mean? Most of us, when we think about how our business will change, and when we are going through the categories that I just gave you, our minds jump straight to the large levers and large levers are things like a new funnel or a new social media platform or a completely new belief, right?

Maybe if you are suffering from imposter syndrome. And so the belief right now is like. I can't do this or I'm, I'm not good enough at this. And then the new belief is, you know, hold my beer. I am a complete badass or I am a, I'm the [00:16:00] best one for this job. And we think that these really large things are the only ways to create this new way of being in the business.

But sometimes it's really the small levers that make the biggest difference. Maybe it's learning to make decisions twice as quickly, or thinking that one self sabotaging thought only half as often. Because when you're not thinking that thought, you're not feeling that feeling that's really holding you back.

And leading to your actions all being very less than optimal, creating suboptimal results, right? If you could just half the time not be thinking that thought and be thinking other thoughts, what could that do for your business? Those small levers can move mountains, because I am not joking, this overall knowledge about quantum leaps and the framework that I've shared of all these things that come to place, [00:17:00] right, is vastly, vastly valuable.

After taking my most recent client through it, she underwent a huge identity shift. She got herself an office in a hip part of downtown. She's interacting with vendors and colleagues completely differently. And she's having to clear her plate because of the influx of business that is inevitable. And after years of charging low hourly rates for her services, she just pitched a 45k contract to a woman who didn't bat an eye.

Over it. This work changes you. Please take it and run with it because you have it in you. If you pause and you take this seriously and you do the planning and you constrain yourself to what is the next step, right? And it's really a case of slowing down to speed up, but luckily it's things you can think about in the midst of everyday activities, like going [00:18:00] for a walk.

It's really about creating presence and an analytical viewpoint. So your tactical tip for today is when you are starting this work, first look to the past, think about leaps that you've had in your own life and get curious about what preceded that. Right. And get curious about in the path of your business.

What is now established as a given in your business that was not before, right? How are you getting there? And we do this, we go to the past in order to help build the brain muscle of thinking this way. Because it's hard when you've never thought new things to then just go think in a new way, right? Or think about things you haven't considered.

But when you can do it for your own past, you're able to pull out real gems of wisdom and build the habit of thinking like that. And then we can project that into the future and literally reverse [00:19:00] engineer our next quantum leap. It's like rewinding the clock, because after all, time is not linear, so you have already created this quantum leap, and now I'm getting into energetics, so let me pause.

What you need to watch out for as you're doing this are the mind games that'll have you elongating your journey to that next quantum leap, or derailing your efforts, or making it harder than it needs to be. You need a process for making it easier and simpler and a roadmap for what to work on in what order, and you need to constrain your efforts so that you actually check all of these things off your list rather than diffusing all of your efforts and energy and then feeling like you haven't actually created forward movement.

Though, of course, if you are dying to start the work right [00:20:00] away, I feel you I'm exactly the same way. Patience is not my highest virtue and you don't have to wait. Is that it doesn't need to take long, that these are accumulations of conditions and factors that just need to get into place in order to catalyze the reaction you're looking for.

I want you to feel this level of certainty. In your bones, right? Rather than thinking of having to wait for something that really puts us in a receiving place of kind of a passive energy. There I go again with energetics is a very energetic concept, but rather than waiting, which [00:21:00] is the thing has to happen to you.

Think of accumulating. You are going out. You are sourcing these things. You are creating these things. So you're about to make a cake and you're gathering the ingredients. You're knowing that when they're together in the circumstance of an oven, they will inevitably produce cake. You're not spending your mental energy wringing your hands and worrying about how it might not become cake.

No, you're gathering the ingredients to make your cake. Period. Quantum Leap. Check. Compare that to the way we often tend to operate, right? Where we're flooded with doubt, and we're backtracking, and we're trying different things, and we're not creating the momentum, and there's tons of self blame, and comparisonitis, and taking action.

But deep down, we know we've also got, like, only one foot in the action, saying we want this, but we're also terrified that we might get it. Ugh. Ugh. It is [00:22:00] exhausting just thinking about it. It's the antithesis of the calm, cool headed CEO who's balanced in her feminine and masculine sides. And that brings us to the energetic.

What I've really done here in this episode is just balance the masculine and feminine energetic. We've taken our unlimited potential Um, where we could go in our business, where we could go in our life, which is considered a feminine principle in almost all spiritual traditions. And we've applied structure in order to make it manifest.

Think of let there be light right out of the primordial nothingness and everythingness of potential. There was a thought, there was an intention and a structure that were applied, and that vibration was held until the world became manifest. This is the wisdom of our ancestors speaking, [00:23:00] because versions of this story repeat themselves in so many traditions.

Think of Maui pulling the islands out of the ocean. I adore myth because they're, they're representations of abstract truths that we humans have been able to tap into. So structure is the masculine energetic that we all need. And we all have both. We have the masculine and the feminine. And when we utilize both, that's when things get really sexy.

That's when things get insanely easeful and abundant in our businesses and lives. It's actually a struggle to create results just in the masculine or just in the feminine because the shadow sides of those are being dogmatic and harsh on one side or being completely indecisive and ineffectual on the other.

If there were no riverbeds, the water just gushes out and evaporates into the sand. We can't nurture our crops. So we [00:24:00] utilize the masculine very strategically so that our feminine magic, our limitless potential, has the ability to manifest. in an organized way, as is necessary in the 3d world. So in this episode, you learned a concept that I have not shared with you before.

And I haven't shared anywhere outside of private coaching circle. And it's about the fact that what seems like quantum leaps on the outside Are actually an accumulation of some different components that make success inevitable and ignite this transformation that leaves other people wondering how you did it.

You've learned that when you see it in other people, it's not just a stroke of luck or some stars aligning. It is a really an accumulation of different things that had to come together in order to. Make the conditions [00:25:00] available for that, what seems like rapid transformation and you've learned to harness both your masculine and feminine energies to manifest unstoppable momentum and why you really need to do that if you want to be operating at all cylinders.
